As the tester, I have the opportunity to try out and review the latest shoes in the market. Today, I have the New Balance Fresh Foam BB in my hands and let me tell you, it feels amazing. I have never tried a shoe from New Balance's basketball line before, and this new model is a great addition to their line.
Out of the box, the Fresh Foam BB feels fresh and comfortable. This is what you should expect when trying a new shoe for the first time. Although the design may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, the comfort is worth it. The outsole of the shoe has a unique pentagonal design that looks great and feels even better. The radial style traction provides a good grip, and the rubber outsole is thicker than what is commonly seen in the market today. Although this may not be the best option for outdoor playing, it is a better choice compared to other brands like Nike and Jordan, whose soles are thin.
One of the coolest parts of the Fresh Foam BB is the iridescent TPU panel that provides lateral containment. The soft and plush Fresh Foam midsole is protected by this panel, preventing the risk of an ankle sprain. The Top Line of the shoe also has a similar design to the Air Pippin 2, which is one of my favorite shoes ever. I really hope it gets a retro release someday.
The upper of the Fresh Foam BB is a fusion of fuse and textile overlays that remind me a lot of the 990 sneaker. Although this colorway may not be the best, I am excited for the better colorway that is coming. In conclusion, the New Balance Fresh Foam BB is a comfortable and well-designed shoe that I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a fresh feel on the court.
